6. From Awareness to Action: Conducting Your Own Assessment

An AI project is a bit like a production line: if the foundation is weak, everything eventually falls out of alignment. An AI maturity assessment allows you to check that foundation before launching the processing chain that places AI at the heart of industrial processes.

The maturity audit is not intended to monitor, but to understand. It is a decision-making tool, a moment of collective clarity. It allows us to assess:

• what the organization is already capable of doing;

• what she thinks she can do;

• which she doesn't know yet.

The goal is not to assign grades but to chart a course. We measure gaps, identify priorities, and sometimes discover that the main weakness is not technical but cultural.
