4.1 Biodistribution and elimination of carbon nanotubes as a function of the degree of functionalization

As highlighted in the previous paragraphs, the chemical functionalization of CNTs plays a very important role in their integration into physiological environments and interactions with cells, tissues and organs. In this context, we prepared different types of single-walled nanotubes (purchased from Carbon Nanotechnologies Inc., Houston, USA, now Unidym) or multi-walled nanotubes (NanoAmor) with varying functionalization rates (table 2 )
