4.1 Bioadsorption chemical abatement results

Figure 7 compares Cu, Ni, Cr, Sn, Ag and Al concentrations before and after bioadsorption treatment obtained on 50 effluent samples from a surface treatment plant in the Franche-Comté region. These results show a sharp drop in metal content after bioadsorption, whatever the sample. In particular, for copper and nickel, which are the chemical substances most present in the effluents, the average concentration of nickel dropped from 0.91 mg · L –1 to 0,29 mg · L –1 , and for copper from 1.13...
