Microgrid; Minigrid

A unit that produces and distributes energy on a local scale, often relying heavily on renewable energy sources.

Production-consumption balancing; Balancing

The process of guaranteeing equality at all times between power injected (generation and imports) and power withdrawn (power consumed and exports) on an electrical network. It is an essential element in the viability of a network.

Capital expenditure (CAPEX)

Initial investment in a product with long-term value. These are fixed assets.

Dépenses d'exploitation; Operational expenditure (OPEX)

Current operating expenses. These are the short-term costs required to keep a product running smoothly: maintenance costs, consumables, etc.
