MALDI-ToF; Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-Time of flight

The MALDI-ToF instrument is a mass spectrometer combining a matrix-assisted laser ionization source and a time-of-flight analyzer. This gentle ionization method avoids breaking the molecule under study.

Fourier Transform Infra Red spectroscopy (FTIR)

Technique used to obtain infrared absorption, emission, photoconductivity or Raman scattering spectra of a solid, liquid or gaseous sample.
