Summary

Carbon biosequestration is the result of various metabolic activities within living organisms, and consists in the capture, storage and retention of carbon from the atmosphere. Various bio-inspired technologies aim to mitigate anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by combining natural mechanisms with sustainable carbon sequestration.
