6. Review of high-entropy alloys
This chapter presents the hydrogen storage performance of some high-entropy alloys reported in the literature. This is not an exhaustive review, but a selection of the most interesting compositions. Two main classes of materials will be discussed according to their crystalline structure: alloys adopting a CC structure and intermetallics, more precisely, AB 2 compositions also known as Laves phases. It should be pointed out, however, that CC alloys are the most studied due to their promising properties, for this reason, they will be more fully detailed later.
6.1 Centered cubic solid solutions
Pure metals and conventional alloys adopting a CC structure have long been studied for hydrogen storage thanks to their high...
