Cements other than those mentioned in the standard
NF EN 197-1
are covered by specific standards.
Natural prompt cement, which sets and hardens rapidly, is the result of firing a regular clayey limestone extracted from homogeneous beds at moderate temperatures, followed by very fine grinding.
Natural prompt cement is characterized by the presence of calcium silicates, mainly in the form of active dicalcium silicate, alumina-rich calcium aluminate and calcium sulfo-aluminate, which is specific to the product.
