INTRODUCTION
The use of pre-painted or unpainted galvanized steel ribbed sheets has improved considerably with the harmonization of products, and their introduction has been gradual following :
Standardization of steel materials in strip form prior to continuous profiling;
the publication of DTU 40.35, subsequently transformed into NF P34-205-1 and 2 (May 1997), which standardized the provisions relating to laying, on the one hand, and established a procedure for determining spans and working loads applicable to each specific profile based on bending tests under descending and ascending loads, on the other.
Ribbed sheet metal roofing is mainly used for industrial roofs, buildings and offices, but more recently for some homes.
