Regarding the modeling, we note that the model developed below represents the material as a stack of independent two-dimensional grids, with each grid modeling a “slice” of the material. The main direction of percolation corresponds to the stacking of the grids. Within each grid, connectivity is strictly two-dimensional (4 neighbors per cell). This is therefore a directed 2.5D model and not an isotropic 3D model.
