2. MMIC Technologies

2.1 Silicon-Based Processes

It should be noted that two families of silicon processes are currently used to manufacture MMICs: CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) and BiCMOS (Bipolar- – -Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) technologies, which involve integrating a bipolar transistor into a CMOS process . These two families are divided into three types.
