Rectangular hysteresis cycles are useful for easily deactivating magnets or for calibrating or coding the response to an electrical impulse.
This type of cycle is typical of most permanent magnets (very high coercive field: H

> 1 kOe, i.e. 80 kA/m).
In the field of magnets, we traditionally speak in kOe (1 kOe = 80 kA/m).
The combination of metallurgy and magnetism has made it possible to offer alloys of the same type with lower H

(10 to 500 Oe, i.e. 0.8 to 40 kA/m), which can therefore be easily converted from a magnet to a soft material when required by the application (anti-theft tag, bistable relay, hysteresis motor, etc.)....) or,...
