6. What regulations and standards should you be aware of?

The Facility Manager is not required to be familiar with all the regulations and standards listed below. He or she should select the relevant ones based on the specific task assigned.

6.1 French decrees and orders

Décret tertiaire 2019 – 771 : Reducing energy consumption in commercial buildings with a floor area of more than 1,000 m².
Décret BACS (2020 – 887) : Requirement to install automation and building management systems for buildings with a power consumption of more than 290 kW.
