Here are a few recommendations for the design and maintenance of these various fluid networks, in order to reduce the associated energy consumption.
4.1 For air networks
Ensure that air circulation speed does not exceed 4 m/s in office buildings and 10 m/s in workshops; excessive speed generates noise pollution and over-consumption of fan energy.
Check that the network has no unnecessary singularities: elbows, dampers, abrupt narrowing or widening, adapted supply and extract outlets.
Have the system checked for leaks to avoid over-consumption of energy.
