3. Understanding the Obligations Related to Importing a Substance Identified as an SVHC

As an importer, you are identified as a supplier of a substance or mixture under Article 3 of REACH and are subject to legal information obligations. The required information varies depending on how the substance is used:

  • as a substance on its own;

  • as a component of a mixture.

3.1 Substance used on its own

Immediately upon inclusion on the Candidate List, suppliers of the substance must provide their customers with a complete safety data sheet that complies with Annex II of REACH.
