The "declaration with periodic inspection" system was created to check that certain classified facilities subject to declaration comply with the regulatory requirements applicable to them. It applies only to certain categories of activity that may present risks and hazards. Under this system, – must be inspected by an approved body, at defined intervals –, to ensure compliance with certain obligations defined by the general requirements decree. The operation of a facility subject to the declaration regime with periodic inspection must meet a number of regulatory obligations, from receipt of the declaration receipt to the end of facility operation.
