5. Biological Properties of Water

Water, oxygen, and carbon dioxide help create conditions conducive to the development of living organisms .

There is a biological cycle during which a series of exchanges takes place through water. Water is the main component (by volume) of living organisms (see some figures in the introduction to this article), and more specifically of the protoplasm of all cells. Water also makes up the majority of our food (70 to 95% of most meats, fruits, and vegetables).
