4.1 Don't think we're all PMOs!
This is the number one mistake made in some companies. Because we all make schedules and manage risks in our daily lives, because we all produce reports, then we're all PMOs. The reality is very different, and project management is far removed from the management of day-to-day activities. Good project management requires good PMOs, correctly positioned and in charge of activities relating to their area of expertise.
