The decisions you propose to the steering committee or project manager will be all the more effective if the following conditions are met:

• low cost/benefit ratio;

• proof of the absence of perverse effects;

• demonstrating their feasibility.

If the countermeasure is only complicated, delegate it to a specialized department and supervise the cost and milestones. If it's complex, take the lead using OCD-style tools or creativity workshops. In this case, don't look for the optimum, but for the satisfying.
