In the same way that the Deming wheel enables continuous quality improvement, Lean is based on an iterative approach. LPS, the 5 Whys, 5S and just-in-time inventory optimization can only be understood through an iterative, continuous improvement approach.

Lean is mainly measured in terms of values and waste rates. We'll be measuring the progress made at each stage of the process, as well as the real benefits of the Lean method.
