INTRODUCTION
Lean applied to construction is not just a series of innovative tools for optimizing project management, it is above all a series of principles based on the search for value and the elimination of waste. Stemming from industry, and in particular Toyota, its core lies in eliminating the superfluous to achieve a "fat-free" production tool (Lean in English). What's more, Lean is a method of continuous improvement, like the Deming wheel, which learns from each stage of analysis to gradually improve project management, with no limit to the optimization of the triptych: cost/delivery/quality.
The Lean method for construction is a response to the fact that 25% of overall construction costs are due to waste and poorly optimized use of technical and human resources. Not to mention the expenses incurred due to ineffective communication between the end of design and execution. These difficulties are exacerbated by the incompatibility of the IT tools used between the design phase and the worksite.
