8. Mistakes to avoid
If we limit ourselves to reinforcing communication with stakeholders by demonstrating a willingness to get involved, we remain with the previous logic of "selling" the project to them as it has been defined. This can very quickly backfire on the project's interests, because as soon as the stakeholders, or some of them, become aware of this, they feel duped, and their behavior towards the project will change in a negative way. This can quickly lead to a lasting deterioration in relations.
