What emerges from a careful reading of ISO 9001 with regard to the social and human field is a more realistic and complete vision of the human being, integrating its qualities and limitations, than that of previous versions of the standard.
In the old versions, the human factor was idealized or instrumentalized, depending on the point of view, in an unrealistic perspective of perfect internalization of pure productivity and efficiency objectives, where only the qualities of responsibility and involvement, as well as people's skills, were emphasized, without any particular mention of the managerial and organizational levers and conditions necessary for the expression and development of these qualities.
