Management responsibility

The 2015 version of the ISO 9001 standard offers some interesting avenues of work for managers wishing to give dynamic expression to their vision and missions.

§5.1 ISO 9001:2015: "Management must demonstrate its leadership and commitment to the quality management system by:

• assuming responsibility for the effectiveness of the quality management system;

• ensuring that the quality policy and objectives are established for the quality management system and that they are compatible with the organization's context and strategic direction;

• ensuring that quality management system requirements are integrated into the organization's business processes;

• promoting the use of process and risk-based approaches;
