1. Managing a crisis
Crisis management is based on nine conditions.
Advising and proposing concrete actions: we must first consider the origins of the crisis, its distinctive features, the trigger(s) and its evolution.
Limit the effects of the disaster: set up a crisis management unit, map risks, consider potential impacts, plan responses, update the crisis management plan on an ongoing basis.
Reviewing the plan and planning its updating, risk analysis, activation protocol: all these elements need to be constantly updated.
Ensuring the safety and protection of populations: the first dimension to be taken into account in times of crisis is personal safety.
