6.1 Don't wait until you have all the information to act
An all-too-common mistake is to plan too rigidly for the occurrence of a crisis, and to devise too precise a strategy for dealing with it. Indeed, the threat never arrives exactly where we expect it to (cf. the Maginot Line syndrome, which consists of thinking that the protection in place is sufficient, even though it can easily be circumvented).
