4. Moving toward an eco-conscious organization
Based on the implementation of LCA in your company and taking into account the drivers for progress described in step 3, the resulting approach will be an integrated eco-design process. Designers will be trained to generate and manage eco-innovations that create significant value for your company across all products and projects. In this regard, we can use the term "eco-design organization."
The framework for such an approach must be clearly formalized. ISO 14006 provides guidelines for integrating eco-design into an ISO 14001-type environmental management system. This is referred to as a product-oriented environmental management system, which is generally based on a classic Deming wheel model (PDCA: Plan, Do, Check, Act).
