The implementation of LCA in a company must be carefully prepared in order to optimize the various stages of the process.

The first step is to secure management support. If the initiative comes from management, there is no problem. If, on the other hand, the initiative comes from elsewhere, this support is essential in order to secure the resources, contacts, and communication necessary for the success of the project. A number of elements necessary for defining the objectives and scope of the study must then be specified.
