Warp

Yarn used in the manufacture of a fabric, running in the direction of production.

Warp density

The number of warp threads per unit of fabric width.

Weft density

The number of weft threads per unit length of fabric.

Mean free path

The average distance traveled by a moving particle before interacting with the filter’s fibrous elements.

A porous material intended for filtration applications and composed of fibrous elements.

Nonwoven

A textile structure formed by assembling fibers, generally without any specific organization.
