6. Example of a process study
The example developed illustrates how laboratory measurements using different thermal methods can be articulated. Emphasis is also placed on the interpretation of the data obtained.
6.1 Problem
The aim is to assess the thermal risks involved in carrying out a chemical reaction on an industrial scale. A brief laboratory procedure is provided, on the basis of which it is decided what data need to be supplied to enable the risks to be studied.
