predicts a bright future for slow-moving engines, thanks in particular to the use of decarbonized fuels by 2050: bio-fuels and green synthetic fuels, bio-GNL, bio-GPL, bio-methanol, bio-ethanol, green ammonia, green hydrogen, to name just a few of those that are qualified today, in trial on pilot installations or under development. Given that the average lifespan of a ship is 30 years, these solutions should see the light of day and be brought to market within the current decade.
