In an integrated geared motor solution, the shaft extension receives the gearbox drive pinion directly, without any intermediate parts. In this configuration, the centering of the rotating assembly in relation to the gear mechanism is excellent. The result is very low rolling noise and wear.

The stator is assembled with its rotor and accessories on flexible lines. Modern plants are moving away from sequential Taylor-type lines to small, self-contained Kaisen-type units. Figure 9 shows a final assembly station.
