1.1 Needs Assessment and Audit of the Current Situation

The first step is to analyze current travel patterns: who is traveling, where, when, in what type of vehicle, and over what distance. Data collected over a few months is often sufficient for a reliable estimate.

It also involves mapping out the current fleet management: number of vehicles, active long-term lease contracts, mileage allowance amounts, fuel costs, and restrictions related to low-emission zones (LEZs). This assessment helps identify initial areas for cost savings.
