Cogeneration techniques

A cogeneration unit of this type comprises, in simplified terms, one (or more) internal combustion engines of the diesel or spark-ignition type, usually driving an alternator, from which heat is recovered, on the one hand, from the exhaust gases and, on the other, from the cooling of the engine block. The installation is much simpler, less cumbersome and less costly than the previous system, and can be made fully automatic.
