This section looks at installation conditions, protective measures, managing the risks associated with refrigerants (toxicity, flammability), and requirements for ensuring that the installation complies with safety standards.

The objectives of EN 378-3 are to :

• ensure that the installation of refrigeration systems is carried out in complete safety for people who use, maintain or are in the vicinity of the system;
