Solution; Solution

A solution is formed when a material is dissolved in a phase of different composition.

Nanodispersion; Nanodispersion

Dispersions containing nanoparticles dispersed in a phase of different composition are referred to as nanodispersions (ISO 80004-1:3.1.18).

Surfactant; Surfactant

An amphiphilic organic molecule with a hydrophobic portion and a hydrophilic portion. The hydrophilic character is generally provided by ionic groups (cationic or anionic) or polar segments.
