3. Motion simulation interfaces
The aim of motion simulation interfaces is to modify the body's orientation in space and to subject it to acceleration.
But we should point out that, while force-feedback interfaces are exploited to impose controllable efforts on the user's body, motion-simulation interfaces also impose efforts and tactile sensations that are directly uncontrollable. Technically, moving the body of one person, or several, in simulation booths is theoretically without insurmountable technical problems. All you need is the means. In practice, however, this requires very powerful mechanisms, and therefore very high prices. So, basically, it's a mechanical problem to be solved by any designer of this type of interface....
