3.1 Nucleation

The crystalline structure adopted by a molecule and the resulting external shape of the crystalline particles (or habitus) are the result of the crystallization process of a molecule from a given solvent (or mixture of solvents) (crystallization from the vapor or melt phase is not considered here).
