4. Limitations of sonochemistry
Despite its many advantages, the use of ultrasound in chemistry has certain constraints and limitations inherent in the principles and use of sonochemistry.
4.1 Reproducibility
As previously mentioned, the reproducibility of results in sonochemistry is a major challenge due to the multitude of parameters influencing the experiments. Indeed, many parameters must be taken into account during an experiment, such as the geometry of the reactor used, the type of probe, or even the medium through which the ultrasonic wave travels.
