6. Identification and authentication technologies
A traceability solution is based on a marking and information capture technology chosen because it best meets the needs expressed and the objectives pursued. Traceability uses a whole range of technologies. Some, such as barcodes, are widespread, while others, often very promising, are just coming onto the market.
