4.1 Global approach

The implementation of a traceability solution is not limited to a choice of markers, even if this choice is crucial.

A traceability solution is a system for creating, enriching, transporting and retrieving information, with the necessary security levels:

• definition and coding ;

• boarding (marking, check-in) ;

• playback/capture ;

• transport/processing ;

• use ;

• sharing.

The traceability solution must be integrated into a commercial, regulatory, technical, IT and cultural environment.
