7. MR certificate

7.1 Contents of a certificate

ISO Guide 31 lists the information that must appear on a reference material certificate:

• name and address of MRC producer ;

• document title (e.g. certificate of reference material) ;

• material designation: name, code, material, batch number, etc. ;

• general material description ;

• intended use ;

• instructions for proper use ;

• instructions for appropriate storage conditions ;

• values of certified properties, with their uncertainty and indication of metrological traceability, where...
