5.1 Support rollers

Load-bearing rollers, with diameters of less than 100 mm, are used on low- and high-lift pallet trucks. They consist of a plastic cylinder, nylon or polyurethane, molded onto a steel hub. Polyurethane is more expensive, but offers better wear resistance and quieter running.

The pressure under this type of wheel, which varies according to the nature of the material, is around 40 kg/cm ² .
