3. Provider selection

To embark on an outsourcing approach, it is necessary to go beyond the dominant logic of the price effect, in order to better focus on qualitative criteria. This was a key factor in the choice of GT Logistics' proposal. This does not mean ignoring the cost of the service, but rather integrating it into a global approach that brings together closely related strategic and social issues. In the case of SCP, the service had to meet high quality standards, given its position vis-à-vis end customers. Similarly, the social stakes involved in restarting operations could not be ignored.
