In 2007, the article "Du transport de marchandises en ville à la logistique urbaine" (From urban goods transport to urban logistics) heralded substantial progress in terms of knowledge of flows and their organization. It raised hopes of a reduction in TMV nuisances, as well as sustainable, energy-efficient and less polluting organizations, enabling operators to make a decent living from their work. A decade later, the results are mixed.
