1. Auxiliary crane technology

1.1 Principle and operation

Auxiliary cranes comprise a jib (generally with two, three or four articulated arms), which can also be telescopic, and a foot (or baseplate) topped by a column, which pivots on the baseplate to allow the crane to rotate (figure 1 ).
