The Institut national de la propriété industrielle (INPI) is responsible for :
centralize and disseminate all information needed to protect innovations and register companies;
enforcing industrial property laws and regulations (in particular, receiving applications for industrial property titles, examining and issuing them, and overseeing their maintenance);
take initiatives to adapt national and international law to the needs of innovators and businesses.
