2.1 National Institute of Industrial Property

The Institut national de la propriété industrielle (INPI) is responsible for :

• centralize and disseminate all information needed to protect innovations and register companies;

• enforcing industrial property laws and regulations (in particular, receiving applications for industrial property titles, examining and issuing them, and overseeing their maintenance);

• take initiatives to adapt national and international law to the needs of innovators and businesses.
