3.1 Diagnosing organizations with the Management Compass®

The variables introduced by the method, A, P and C, are determined by means of questionnaires. Complexity C is defined by the process manager himself. A few questions tell us the nature of the process (transactional, expert, coordinated or synergistic), and this gives us the "target" point on the diagram in figure 7 . Aspirations and perceptions are revealed by the answers employees give to several series of questions. Questionnaires can take any form - electronic, paper, individual or group interviews.
