1. Project background and objectives

Magafor is a company marked by a strong family culture: founded in 1937 by Robert Matthey, Magafor became Europe's leading manufacturer of center drills under the impetus of the second generation (eight brothers and sisters). In the early 2000s, the third generation succeeded in propelling the group to world leadership in its core range.

Before handing over the reins to the third generation, Daniel Matthey, the last active member of the second generation, initiated the modernization and robotization of the company.

Today, the third generation (mainly four family members), enriched by new arrivals from the fourth generation, aims to maintain the company's position as world leader in center drills, while developing new markets to ensure its long-term future.
